Lying,
listening,
hearing
listening,
hearing
birds prepare for slumber.
A harsh wit-wit, a soft brt-brt,
rustling feathers to get more ease.
Moon
half-faced,
pale, growing,
half-faced,
pale, growing,
inching across a lapis sky;
pulling tides, pushing moods
to breaking point - without no never mind.
Yellow stars, heart-shaped leaves,
closing against sunless cold.
Snowdrops ragged.
Time to go.
Time to go back inside.
