~ Impressions from an Autumn Equinox ~

A harsh caw of a crow ~

a discordant sound

disrupting the tunefulness

of fast running water, 

as it empties itself

into the stillness 

of a large pond.

Willows, Hawthorns, Hazels,

Ash and Sycamore

surround me;

we exchange breath.

A red~breasted Robin

looks with sharp eyes.

A heron flies.

The mist~filtered moon seduces

Pipistrelle bats.
