With winter yielded, and 

Spring well advanced as Summer's midwife,

I dream of being warmed

to my bones;

every cell crying out 

for vitamin D;

and with face stretching upwards

like a happy Daisy

I will purr.....

The river,

Braided, writhing water

pulled by a Vernal tide

under a 

Mother-of Pearl sky.

The heart's morning

felt its promise

free the sun;

as stars dim

in a brightening blue,

and shoot, 

unseen by naked eyes;

a shower of surprise.

Winded blue sky,

Cold with dreams

of granite~sharp rain

slicing into flooding streams,

where willows weep my name.

My garden assembles

~ A Wound of Air ~

The creek,

fine as mercury,

opened the rock 

to a wound of air.

The glare of hot sun

streaming through,

swam bright as stars,

and danced over stones,

locking~in transient

refracted light.

~ Slow as Slow ~

The tide,

shaking off droplets,

envelopes air from Spring,

and turns slow as slow

into exhalation.
